SYNOPSIS
Santiago’s Pamphleteers: Heroes and Martyrs is an original 50-minute English subtitled film documentary about the untold story of a group of thirty-two young Dominican heroes who courageously stood poised to confront the bloody regime of General Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, a ruthless dictator who ruled the Dominican Republic with iron fist from 1930 to 1961. Led by a twenty-year old valiant young man, the group relied on secretly homemade pamphlets to denounce Trujillo’s oppressive regime and to raise awareness among the people of Santiago, the second largest metropolis in the country. …
